BULGARIA – THE BALKAN MAGIC
There is no other more punctual word that can describe the
little country on the Balkan Peninsula. Bulgaria was born in
VII century; its lands were inhabited by Thracians, Slavs,
proto-Bulgarians, Romans, Byzantines and Ottoman Turks. All
of them marked the cultural treasure-house of Bulgaria by
enriching it with their millennial experience, legends,
customs and traditions.
The charm of Bulgarian land is hidden in the opportunity for
everyone to be lost in the secret, divine combination of
mountainous hills and green valleys, majestic peaks and
spacious plains, rivers, crystal lakes, mineral springs with
healing vigour, infinity of the azure sea coast, antiquity,
kept in churches, monasteries, historical monuments and
traditions, weaved into the popular customs.
